John Quincy Adams 6th Us President 1825-1829
John Quincy Adams (1767 - 1848)
6th US President
First Lady Louisa Adams
Vice President John C. Calhoun
John Quincy Adams favored a large Federal government and viewed the presidency as an office to overshadow state's rights. He was not re elected due to the overwhelming state's rights issues of the day, most notably slavery.
